Show Up With Purpose This Thanksgiving Week
Thanksgiving week is almost here, and with it comes a rhythm that may feel a bit different than normal. Work schedules shift, the kids are out of routine, gyms close early, travel throws off sleep, and meals look nothing like your usual day-to-day. It is easy to let the whole week slip into “I’ll get back to it next Monday.”
But not us, my friend. This is exactly where your values get put into practice. This week is an opportunity to move from hoping you can get it done to actually assessing, prioritizing, and scheduling in advance. While your week may not be perfect, it is still in your power to show up as your best self. You can take ownership, plan accordingly, and honor the commitments you have made to yourself.
Before the week begins, take a look at your schedule and map out your training. Not what you wish you could do, but what you can realistically do. If that means squeezing a lift in early, training at a different hour, adjusting your split, or swapping the order of your days, plan it now. Don’t let the day happen to you or allow your priorities to be dictated by the fly of your pants.
When it comes to nutrition, remember that you don’t need to restrict or obsess to stay aligned. Just like with your training, anchor yourself to what matters most. Keep protein a priority, build your plate intentionally, get some fiber in, drink water, go on a walk, and be present. Enjoy your meals, participate fully in your day, and get back on track without guilt.
This week is an invitation to practice what you say you value. It is a chance to live in a way that reflects the person you are becoming, even when the circumstances are not perfect.
